Supernatural é uma série criada por Eric Kripke sobre dois irmãos em busca de respostas para o terror que se esconde no desconhecido. Sam Winchester (Jared Padaleck) deu o seu melhor para escapar da assustadora história da família. Ao contrário do seu irmão mais velho Dean (Jensen Ackles), Sam rejeitou a obsessiva busca do pai para descobrir as forças malignas que tomaram a vida da sua esposa. Colocando a maior distância possível entre ele e a família, Sam deixou a casa paterna logo após terminar a escola e foi para a universidade. A sua nova vida inclui uma bela e adorável namorada e planos para entrar na faculdade de direito. Dean, entretanto, tomou um caminho diferente, seguindo o seu pai nos “negócios da família”. Quando Dean aparece na porta de Sam com a notícia de que o pai deles desapareceu, Sam não tem outra escolha a não ser deixar os seus planos pessoais e unir-se a Dean.
